New L.A. Rams QB Jared Goff’s Past Tweet on Puig Haunts Him

It’s a new era in Los Angeles for NFL football. On Thursday night the L.A. Rams used their No. 1 overall pick to draft Cal Golden Bears quarterback Jared Goff.

Being the newest member of the Los Angeles sports family. Dodgers’ Kiké Hernandez took to twitter to congratulate and welcome Goff to L.A.

But teammate Brett Anderson wasn’t as welcoming citing a tweet Goff sent out back in 2013.

This tweet.

Puig finally responded with a simple tweet and the best use of hashtags:

Twitter and Dodgers Players React to Dee Gordon Suspension

In all fairness Goff is known to be a die hard San Francisco Giants fan (he doesn’t know any better), and even made headlines when he caught a ball during a Giants game.

In all honesty the Giants-Dodgers rivalry is one of the best in baseball, and being a kid in college rooting for your hometown team all is fair in love and war.

Does he really wish harm on Puig? No. Do we all wish Buster Posey just went away? Yes. But that’s besides the point. The L.A. Rams are getting a clean slate in Los Angeles. Goff should get the same.

If anything Larry Nance Jr. from the L.A. Lakers should give Goff some advice following his “mean tweet” about Kobe Bryant.

And now their friends …

So in the spirit of starting off clean welcome to L.A. Mr. Goff.

Puig responded with the right attitude and so did Kiké.
