Magic has been in the air at Dodger Stadium this season, as the Los Angeles Dodgers have been nearly unbeatable at home. The Boys in Blue are 15-2 on the season at Chavez Ravine while averaging 5.9 runs per game.

The Dodger bats were on display Tuesday night, as they beat the Miami Marlins 11-1 and clubbed a season-high 21 hits. The Dodgers now look to go for the sweep of the Marlins on Wednesday evening.

As the rotation appears to be settling in, Carlos Frias makes his third start of the season for the Dodgers. The right-hander has filled in nicely thus fare with a 3-0 record and 2.13 ERA to go 11 strikeouts. While Wednesday marks Frias’ third start with the Dodgers this season, he also has two relief appearances under his belt.

The Marlins counter by sending hard-throwing right-hander Jared Cosart to the mound. Although he has pitched well this season, the 24 year old is looking to avoid losing his third straight start. He is currently 1-3 with a 3.67 ERA.

This is Cosart’s first career start against the Dodgers. The only Dodger hitter to face him is Howie Kendrick, who is 3-for-9 off him in his career. While the Marlins lineup remains the same as Tuesday’s, Dodgers manager Don Mattingly has made a couple changes.

Shortstop Jimmy Rollins gets the night off as he’s replaced by Kiké Hernandez. Alex Guerrero, who played third base in Tuesday’s game, moves to left field and Justin Turner gets the nod at third base.

Juan Uribe is out of the Dodgers lineup for a fourth straight game and Mattingly recently indicated he’s no longer the set starter at the hot corner.

Andre Ethier, who has gotten a hit in each of his last six plate appearances gets the start in right field once again with Yasiel Puig still on the disabled list. The Dodgers have won 10 out of their last 12 games and are going for their sixth straight win.
