The long road trip continues Saturday for the Los Angeles Dodgers as they attempt to extend their modest three-game-winning streak. The Dodgers offense exploded for seven runs on just one home run in the first game of the series against the Miami Marlins with five players collecting at least one RBI, including pitcher Brett Anderson.

On the mound for the Dodgers is the ace of the staff, Clayton Kershaw, who has allowed three runs in each of his last two starts. He carries a 5-5 record into the outing and like others on the staff, has been devoid of run support.

The Dodgers have scored just six total runs in Kershaw’s five losses, and if recent games are any indication, Saturday should be a different story. Opposing Kershaw is Tom Koehler, who missed his pervious start with a stiff neck.

Koehler enters the game with a 5-4 record and 3.76 ERA. Yasiel Puig, who has missed the past few games due to a ripped callous is not in the lineup once again. Andre Ethier is in right field with Kiké Hernandez playing left.

Giancarlo Stanton injured his wrist in the sixth inning of Friday’s game and is expected to miss four to weeks with a broken bone in his wrist the Marlins announced Saturday. Stanton leads the Marlins with 27 home runs and 67 RBIs.

Former Dodger Miguel Rojas was called up from Triple-A New Orleans to take the vacant spot on the active roster and he makes his 2015 debut with a start at third base.

  1. In this business of baseball and, yes, it is a business, will the Dodgers put Kershaw on the trading blocks and try getting 5 excellent pitchers for him?
