Despite giving up the lead in the top of the ninth in Monday’s series opener against the Miami Marlins, the Dodgers walked-off with the win as Scott Van Slyke hit a three-run home run in the bottom half.

The victory improved the Dodgers’ home record to 14-2 as the team looks to continue its winning ways by starting Mike Bolsinger in the second game of the three game set. Tuesday marks Bolsinger’s second start for the Dodgers this season. In his first outing, he held the San Francisco Giants to just one run in 5.2 innings of work.

The Dodgers hope Bolsinger continues to pitch well just as he has in Triple-A Oklahoma City. Through four starts, Bolsinger is 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA. With the Dodgers needing to continue filling in the back end of their rotation, Bolsinger could become someone the Dodgers continue to depend on as the season goes on.

Opposing Bolsinger will be Dan Haren who makes his return to Dodger Stadium a night after Dee Gordon’s. Although wishing to remain in Southern California, Haren reported to the Marlins and has been pitching well for them since coming over via trade.

The Marlins have only lost one game all year in which Haren starts. Tuesday will be Haren’s seventh and second straight against an NL West opponent. His last start was against the San Francisco Giants as he went seven innings while allowing two runs on eight hits.

Overall, Haren has compiled a record of 4-1 with an ERA of 2.68. The impressive start is nothing new as Haren also began 2014 on a good note. Inconstancy plagued him later on in the year as the new front office decided to part ways with him, even paying his entire salary to send him to Miami.

The third base shuffle continues Tuesday with Alex Guerrero getting the start. It will be Guerrero’s sixth start of the year at third. He has cooled off a little since his hot start and will look to get back on track against Haren.
