The Los Angeles Dodgers came away victorious in Wednesday’s game over the Philadelphia Phillies. Brett Anderson turned in another strong outing and a three-run Yasiel Puig home run fueled the way to a series tie.

Zack Greinke now looks to help guide the Dodgers to a series win before their road trip carries on to Pittsburgh. On the season Greinke is 10-2, with an MLB-best 1.41 ERA and 0.83 WHIP. In his last outing against the Los Angeles Angels, Greinke went eight innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits, while striking out eight to just one walk.

In his career against the Phillies, Greinke has been outstanding. In six starts, the 31 year old is 5-1, with a 2.03 ERA and 0.84 WHIP. On July 9, Greinke pitched eight shutout innings against the Phillies in which he allowed zero runs and just one hit in a victory.

Opposing Greinke is David Buchanan. In eight starts this season, the right-handed pitcher is 2-5, with a 6.44 ERA and 1.66 WHIP. Opponents have had success against him as teams are batting .310. An area of improvement that Buchanan needs is his strikeout-to-walk ratio. Through his eight starts, the 26 year old has racked up 23 strikeouts, but has walked 18 batters also.

Buchanan has one career start against the Dodgers, which came last season. He allowed two runs over five innings and walked away with a win. In his career at Citizens Bank Park, Buchanan is 7-6 with a 4.41 ERA and 1.39 WHIP.

The Dodgers look to continue their success in day games this season, as they are 17-11 under the sun, good for fifth-best in the National League. Puig gets a day off, which moves Andre Ethier over to right field as Carl Crawford is in left.

In 12 games at Citizens Bank Park over the last two seasons the Dodgers are 9-3, with a combined 1.88 ERA and .186 opponents’ batting average.
