Recap: Dodgers Pick Up 3 in 9th but Lose 6-5

The Dodgers went 12 innings on Friday but were unable to get the win against the Arizona Diamondbacks, losing 2-1. Today the boys in blue looked to take the series with Kenta Maeda on the mound coming off of a start where he struck out a career high 13 batters!

Let’s take a look at the highlights!

The Diamondbacks would start off early with 3 runs in the bottom of the first.

The DBacks would get another in the bottom of the third, this time a solo shot off the bat of Jake Lamb.

Then in the bottom of the 5th, an RBI double would give Arizona another run making it 5-0.

Kenta Maeda would be pulled shortly after, going 4 1/3 and giving up 5.

We’re the Diamondbacks done? Nope, they tack on another run in the bottom of the 7th.

But the Dodgers would not be shutout and would get a couple thanks to a double by Seager and a homer by Turner!

The top of the ninth began as best as it could with Seager coming up with an RBI double!

Turner comes in clutch with an RBI single to make the score 6-5!

Unfortunately, Puig and Taylor would strikeout and the Dodgers drop the series finale 6-5.
