The Dodgers finally did it… they called up Yasiel Puig! To make things even better, they even called up the number 2 prospect, Jose De Leon who will start on Sunday. On Friday, however, Julio Urias was given the ball to help secure the win.

Let’s take a look at the highlights!

The Dodgers struck first in the bottom of the 4th thanks to an RBI single by Joc Pederson!

The Padres would not let that lead last long because in the top of the 6th they would get 2 runs on the board.

The Dodgers would tie the game up thanks to a solo shot off the bat of Joc Pederson that was absolutely crushed!

The Padres would get the lead in the top of the 8th, one run coming from a solo shot by Yangervis Solarte.

The Dodgers would not put anything together in the bottom of the 9th and would drop the first game of the series, 4-2.

The Dodgers will face off against the Padres on Saturday at 6:10 PM PST with Rich Hill getting the star. Follow us on Twitter at @DodgersNation to get the play by play! Go Blue!
