Recap: Justin Turner Homers In 12-2 Loss To Rockies

The Dodgers dropped the first game of the series against the Rockies 3-7, and looked to even the score on Wednesday! Brock Stewart was given the call and would make only his second start ever in the majors. Josh Reddick would be benched due to the left-handed starter, giving Scott Van Slyke the start.

Let’s take a look at the highlights!

The Dodgers would start the game off early with a 2 run home run by Justin Turner!

Unfortunately, that would be the only time the Dodgers would have a lead because in the bottom of the 1st, the Rockies would score 5 thanks to two home runs.

The game would then be quiet until the bottom of the 5th, when the Rockies would hit two more long balls.

That would be it for Brock Stewart after he walks Arenado and Dahl singles. He would be replaced by Josh Fields, making his Dodgers debut. Unfortunately, he would not do too well.

The Rockies would come back in the bottom of the 6th and tack on 3 more off of Julio Urias.

Although Julio Urias has reached a nice achievement, even if he didn’t perform well in today’s game.

Unfortunately, that would be it for the Dodgers and they would drop the second game of the series: 12-2.

The Dodgers will face the Rockies one last time on Thursday at 5:40 PM PST. Be sure to follow us on Twitter at @DodgersNation to get the play by play! Go Blue!
