Recap: Kendrick Extends Hitting Streak to 12 in 8-1 Loss to Nationals

The Dodgers kicked off their series against the Nationals on Tuesday with an 8-4 win! Kazmir put on a beautiful performance striking out 8 and the offense was alive. They looked to do the same on Wednesday with Bud Norris taking the mound.

Let’s take a look at the highlights!

The Nationals got on the board early in the bottom of the first and put 2 on the board thanks to an absolute bomb by Bryce Harper.

The Dodgers would answer in the top of the second thanks to an RBI single by Charlie Culberson!

The game would then be a bit quiet until the Nationals would add 2 more in the bottom of the fifth.

Then the game would get away from the Dodgers as the Nationals pick up 3 more.

Roberts would take out Coleman and replace him with Avilan, but that wouldn’t help much.

Howie Kendrick would extend his hitting streak to 12 games in the top of the eighth, but that’s about it.

Unfortunately, the Nationals were not done and they would pick up their 4th home run of the night in the bottom of the eighth.

The Dodgers would come up in the top of the ninth with Turner, Toles, and Van Slyke, but nothing would come of it and the Dodgers would lose this one 8-1.

Tune in tomorrow for a bright and early game with Julio Urias on the mound at 9:05 AM PST. To catch the play by play, follow us on twitter @DodgersNation. Go Blue!
