Recap: Utley Collects 6 Hits in 6-4 Loss Against Orioles

The Dodger bats were quiet for the first time in a while on Tuesday in their 4-1 loss against the Orioles. On Wednesday they looked to hopefully take the series against the Orioles with Bud Norris on the mound!

Let’s take a look at the highlights!

The Dodgers started off early thanks to a 2-run home run off the bat of Justin Turner after a leadoff single by Utley!

The Orioles would answer quickly getting one back in the top of the 2nd thanks to Flaherty.

They would answer again the following inning, and guess what they’d do in the next inning?

You guessed it! Trumbo would hit a solo home run and the Orioles take the lead 3-2.

The Dodgers luckily would wake up again in the bottom of the 5th to take the lead back!

Remember that Trumbo guy? Well, he wasn’t finished just yet…

In the bottom of the 7th, Seager would extend his streak!

Nothing would happen in the 9th inning, so into extra innings we go! Believe it or not, the game would drag on until the 13th inning when finally something would happen! Puig, Utley, and Grandal make an amazing play to save a run!

The next inning, however, the Orioles would score two on a double by Schoop.

To the bottom of the 14th we go…

Roberts gets ejected!

Unfortuanetely he would not be today’s hero and the Dodgers would fall to the Orioles 6-4 in a very long game! Tune in tomorrow to watch the Dodgers take on the Padres at 7:10 PM PST.
