Several Dodgers Listed In Preseason Most Valuable Player Odds

Four Los Angeles Dodgers headline the preseason Most Valuable Player odds for the National League. Moreover, it’s four names you would expect. Equally important – even if none of these four win the award – this shines a light on the players who have an excellent shot to at least put forward an All Star performance.

Here are the four Dodgers listed, with their respective odds:

Cody Bellinger leads the way with 25 to 1 odds to win the award. Then, Justin Turner checks in at 30 to 1. From there, Corey Seager at 40 to 1 and Max Muncy at 300 to 1 are next.

Still – and before anyone feels slighted – to have four players in the everyday lineup with this potential is excellent. While some concession was likely made to Seager coming off an injury, there is excellent value in a player like Turner who offers such consistent production. In this case, Turner has the highest batting average of any NL player since the start of the 2017 season.

It’s important to remember that to take home this award – you not only need great performance – but to be part of a great team. If the Dodgers win their division once again as they are expected, these numbers should change slightly in the favor of each player.

In case you were wondering, Bryce Harper is listed at 6 to 1 odds to win the award while not yet being signed. This makes him the favorite to win the award. Next is Nolan Arenado at 7 to 1 and Paul Goldschmidt at 10 to 1.
