Spring Training Recap: Greinke Goes Two, Dodgers Lose Late
Besides a walk drawn by Heisey, the Dodgers went quiet in the top of the fifth. Zach Lee came in to relieve for the Dodgers in the bottom of the inning. Lee retired the side in order. Both offenses failed to generate any runs in the sixth inning, as Lee tossed his second scoreless inning.
Hernandez led off the seventh with a fly ball to deep center, but was robbed of at least a double by a great catch by Albert Almora. Corey Seager and Heisey ended the inning with consecutive strikeouts. Chris Reed came in to pitch for the Dodgers in the bottom of the inning and retired the side in order.
A pair of walks, a failed bunt and a double play was all the Dodgers would be able to do in the top of the eighth. Chris Anderson took over on the mound in the bottom half. A walk, a single and a sacrifice fly was all it took for the Cubs to take a 4-3 lead heading into the final inning.
The Dodgers went down in order in the ninth and lost their second game of the spring, 4-3.
