Los Angeles Dodgers President and CEO Stan Kasten was named LA Sports Executive of the Year by the LA Sports Council this morning. Kasten and the Guggenheim Group are heading into their second full year owning the franchise and have turned things around significantly.
Whether it’s renovating Dodger Stadium, acquiring incredible talent on the field or re-energizing a fan base that’s starving for another World Series title, the Dodger brand has transformed. It should come as no surprise that Kasten has the Dodgers in this position after guiding so many great Atlanta Braves teams and most recently helping the Washington Nationals franchise.
He’ll be honored at the LA Sports Awards that’ll be held Wednesday, March 5 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Comedian Bill Engvall be host the event that’ll air on Prime Ticket on Friday, March 14 at 9:30 pm PST.
