NLCS News: Kenta Maeda to Start Game 1, Clayton Kershaw on Track for Game 2

In latest Dodgers News, Dave Roberts announced today that Kenta Maeda will start for the Dodgers tomorrow in game one of the NLCS against the Chicago Cubs.

In his one postseason start, Maeda only lasted three innings as he gave up four runs on five hits. Maeda has also never pitched against the Cubs in his MLB career.

Despite his tough start, Maeda’s regular season is more than enough of a sample size to trust him to steal home field away from Chicago.

Roberts confirms Dodgers rumors and said that he expects Kenley Jansen will be available in game one after he threw a career high of 51 pitches.

Although he didn’t officially announce it, Roberts hinted at Clayton Kershaw starting in game two on Sunday. Kershaw and the Dodgers apparently don’t seem to be worried about fatigue, as Kershaw started on Tuesday, and then got the last two outs of the ninth inning last night.
