Yasiel Puig and Company Pokes Fun at Madison Bumgarner’s Overreaction

With the Los Angeles Dodgers kicking the San Fransisco Giants butt (figuratively and literally), the excitement is still high from the bench clearing fight on Monday.

Yasiel Puig and Madison Bumgarner Square Off

Bumgarner said the fight was prompted by a sideways look from Yasiel Puig. The exact words from Bum were “Don’t look at me.” Followed by Puig saying “What are you going to do to me?” Then the shouting got interrupted by the players throwing themselves in the dispute. The fans were cheering as the tensions grew.

The line “Don’t look at me” flared some pretty hilarious tweets and memes:

The fans had a field day with the Bumgarner quote, but an unexpected joke was made the Dodgers players themselves. Yasiel Puig, Adrian Gonzalez and Jose De Leon made shirts with the trending quote “Don’t look at me.” I think we can all agree, this is the best comedic relief to cut the series’ tension.

Even Kenley Jansen and Justin Turner got in on the fun!

Yasiel Puig decided to take it to the next level! According to Marly Rivera of ESPN, Puig decided to personalize a #DONTLOOKATME shirt with an autograph and inscription!

Will this start another fight? Maybe. The Puig vs Bumgarner rivalry goes way back and is sure to create an exciting game. Tonights game will be interesting if the Giants choose to fight back.

  1. This is hilarious, but it’s not going to end well….. Teams and players who are about to be eliminated from the playoffs tend have a limited sense of humor about things like this….
