Trending Up:

Mike Bolsinger: When the Dodgers acquired Bolsinger from the Arizona Diamondbacks last November, it was a move seen by many as simply adding extra pitching depth to the organization. Needless to say, he’s been more than just pitching depth so far.

In his lone start this week, Bolsinger faced the minimum through eight innings, allowing a mere leadoff single to Yangervis Solarte in the first inning. He mowed down the next 23 batters in a row, lowering his ERA to 0.87 and WHIP to 0.79 in the process.

Zack Greinke: Making one start this week against the Padres, Greinke continued his dominance on the mound. In 7.2 innings pitched, he allowed just one earned run and seven baserunners total (six hits, one walk). As a result, he lowered his already-miniscule ERA to 1.48 and WHIP to 0.87. Somewhat unfortunately for him, Chris Hatcher earned the win after throwing one pitch in relief.

Joc Pederson: Even though the Dodgers’ offense has virtually been nonexistent this week, Pederson is still holding his own. In 23 at-bats, he picked up six hits (two home runs, two doubles, two singles) and drew three walks. His slash line remains impressive at .237/.374/.547.

Honorable Mentions:

Kenley Jansen: Since being activated off the disabled list, Jansen has been nothing short of dominant. In two appearances this week against the Padres, he accumulated two perfect innings while striking out three batters and getting the save in both games.

Brett Anderson: Despite getting the loss, Anderson pitched fairly well against the Giants in his only start this week. He allowed seven hits and three earned runs in 6.1 innings while striking out seven batters.

Adrian Gonzalez: Getting the start in all six games this week, Gonzalez recorded at least one hit in four of them and walked three times. Overall, he reached base seven times in 20 plate appearances (.350 on-base percentage).
