Tweets Of The Day: Dodgers Drop Finale 4-3, Lose Three Of Four
The Dodgers and Giants were back at it after the Dodgers lost in embarrassing fashion last night, 19-3 the Dodgers lost 19-3 were looking to bounce back this afternoon.
Edison Volquez was on the mound this afternoon as he hoped to make a case for a playoff roster spot, but his last outing was much better as he allowed three runs in six innings. With a 5.97 ERA, Volquez was given the role of “stopper” as the Dodgers needed a win against to gain a split in in the four-game series.
Volquez’ opponent on the mound was Ryan Vogelsong, who has been having problems of his own. Voglesong has a 5.86 ERA, but has been improving in his last few starts and has dropped his ERA significantly since early August.
The Dodgers now have some health concerns with some of their core players. Yasiel Puig, Carl Crawford, Andre Ethier, and Hanley Ramirez were absent from the lineup, so the Dodger offense needed to step it up to put some runs on the board.
Lets’ get to the tweets of the day:
