Tweets Of The Day: Dodgers Lose 3-2, Defense Dooms Them Late
The Dodgers had the chance this afternoon to sweep the Phillies, which would give them six sweeps in their last nine series wins. Starter Ricky Nolasco was on the mound as he looked to back up the performances from Zack Greinke and Clayton Kershaw, who both didn’t allow a run in the series.
Being an afternoon getaway day, Don Mattingly rested Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford, Juan Uribe and A.J. Ellis and let the reserves get a chance to play the whole game.
With a four-game series with the Marlins beginning tomorrow, the Dodgers went for the chance to run their record to 43-8 since June 22.
Let’s check out the tweets from this afternoon’s finale in Philadelphia.

Big topic of conversation between Mattingly/media this morning was kind of mistakes Puig just made — picked off 1B, misguided throw to 3B
