VIDEO: Dee Gordon Makes Barehanded Play Vs. Braves

The Los Angeles Dodgers were looking to get consecutive sweeps for the first time this season as they faced off against the Atlanta Braves Thursday.

With the Dodgers leading 2-0 in the fourth inning, Tommy La Stella hit a weak ground ball in no-man’s land on the infield grass. The ball rolled out of Clayton Kershaw’s reach and forced Dee Gordon to come charging in.

The All-Star second baseman picked the ball up with his bare hand and threw in time to Gonzalez for the second out of the inning.

Gordon’s charging play came two innings after he made a basket catch while falling to his feet in shallow center field. Gordon then added a third defensive highlight when he fielded a ground ball in the eighth inning and started a 4-3 double play.

The Dodgers wound up winning the game, 2-1 and completed the three-game sweep of the Braves.
