VIDEO: Dee Gordon Steals Third Base For 50th Of Season

The Los Angeles Dodgers entered Friday’s game with plenty going in their favor. They were riding a six-game winning streak that was built on sweeping series with the San Francisco Giants and Atlanta Braves, and were facing a team that was 17 games under .500.

Dan Haren was back on the mound after being skipped in one of his scheduled starts and managed to get through the first inning without allowing the Chicago Cubs to take a lead. As he’s been throughout the season, Dee Gordon got the Dodgers offense going in the bottom of the first.

Gordon reached on an infield single and quickly stole second base. After Yasiel Puig grounded out, Gordon stole third for his 50th stolen base on the season. Heading into play on Saturday, the All-Star second baseman leads all players in stolen bases.

Jose Altuve of the Houston Astros trails Gordon by seven.
