On December 28, 2013 Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was arrested for the second time on a reckless driving charge in Florida. The 23-year-old outfielder was traveling 110 mph in a 70 mph zone as it was his second such arrest in the last eight months.
After the incident, the Dodgers released a statement that they were dealing with the matter internally as it was another teaching moment for the young outfielder. However, video has surfaced of Puig getting detained by the cops and pleading with the officer to not arrest him. As was written in the police report, the officer was upset he was speeding with his mom and friends.
