VIDEO: Dodgers’ Yasiel Puig Calls His Shot, Dances At The Plate, And More

So many memorable moments have come from the Dodgers’ 2017 postseason run, with the latest being Justin Turner’s walk-off home run. Though nothing beats Turner’s magical moment, Yasiel Puig has given fans so much to love in both the NLDS and NLCS!

It all started with Game 1 of the NLDS. Yasiel Puig’s tongue broke the internet after he licked his bat and wagged it after sliding into third base.

Then in Game 2 of the NLDS, Yasiel Puig did the most “Puig” thing ever and bat flipped after hitting a single to right-center. This video perfectly displays the way that Yasiel Puig plays the game, and why so many fans either love him or hate him. He has fun and isn’t afraid to show it.

Moving on to the NLCS, Yasiel Puig did his best Babe Ruth impression and called his shot in Game 1. He pointed towards right-center and the double was pulled to the gap in left-center, but the move was cool nonetheless! He also hit a towering home run in that game that just escaped Dodger Stadium and then proceeded to take a curtain call. It didn’t really seem like the fans asked for the curtain call, which makes it that much better!

After the game, Yasiel Puig spoke with Sam Ryan and recalled a home run that never actually happened. Whether he was being serious or just joking is unclear, but regardless it’s a hilarious moment. Also, check out the expression on Puig’s face in the image for the video!

Lastly, along with licking his bat after fouling off pitches, Yasiel Puig has been doing a little dance after taking balls in the dirt. It’s the best thing ever so be sure to look out for it next time he is at the plate!

Yasiel Puig has a slash line of .438/.571/.875 in the postseason so far. He has six runs batted in, two runs scored, and four extra-base hits. It’s unbelievable, really, how successful he has been in the past five games. He seems to have also scared the Cubs quite a bit, considering he walked three times on Sunday.

The Wild Horse is leading the Dodgers in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, on-base plus slugging, and walks in the 2017 postseason. Puig is also second in hits and runs batted in, with Justin Turner leading in both of those categories. Yasiel Puig is playing to his full potential and there is nothing quite like it.
