VIDEO: Joc Pederson Steals Third For Stolen Base No. 29

It’s been a big week for the trio of elite prospects the Los Angeles Dodgers reportedly refused to include in trade talks.

Julio Urias tied a career-high with nine strikeouts in his last outing and his pitching drew comparisons to what’s seen in the Majors, Corey Seager was named the 2014 Cal League MVP, and Joc Pederson continued to increase his home run total.

While Pederson has slugged his way through the Pacific Coast League, one element of his game that’s faltered in recent days is the stolen base department. Entering Friday’s game, Pederson had been caught stealing in three of the Albuquerque Isotopes’ last five games.

The center fielder was caught stealing again Friday night, but also ended his drought by swiping third without a throw. The stolen base was Pederson’s 29th on the season and he also added a three-run home run to give him 32.

With one more stolen base, Pederson will become the first player in the PCL to reach 30/30 since 1934. Including Saturday, the Isotopes have nine games remaining on their schedule.
