VIDEO: Yasiel Puig Hits Grounders To Erisbel Arruebarrena Pre-Game

As the Los Angeles Dodgers prepare to open up a four-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates, right fielder Yasiel Puig warmed up by hitting some grounders to shortstop Erisbel Arruebarrena via the Dodgers official Vine.

The two Cubans have a history together as they both played for the same club in 2008 and 2010. As members of the Elefantes de Cienfuegos, Puig and Arruebarrena developed their skills enough for Dodger scouts to fall in love with their respective games.

While Puig took the Major League by storm last season, Arruebarrena is trying to prove he has the talent to thrive for the Dodgers just as his former teammate did. When Hanley Ramirez went down with calf soreness, Arruebarrena filled in and showed his fielding acumen.

With Puig and Arruebarrena contributing for the Dodgers, Cuba is well represented within the Dodger origination. The Dodgers also have second baseman Alex Guerrero in the minors waiting for him to become more consistent.
