In the fifth and final game of the Japan Series, Yasiel Puig put his defense on display again. After dropping the first three games, the MLB All-Stars took Game 4 and led 2-0 in Game 5 when Puig tracked down a fly ball in foul territory just before the outfield wall. It would be the third out of the inning in a game that the MLB All-Stars eventually won, 3-1. Puig would add two hits at the plate to contribute to another big game.
This play came just after Puig had a diving catch and three hits in the Game 4 victory. Drew Butera also added a sliding catch behind the plate that day to give the Los Angeles Dodgers solid representation in the Japan Series.
