Monday was a day that ended in “y” so you can bet that Cody Bellinger did something amazing.
The Dodgers somehow managed to struggle against a 44-year-old Bartolo Colon for the better part of his five inning start for the Minnesota Twins. Yasmani Grandal and Joc Pederson were able to tag him for back-to-back home runs followed by an RBI single from Chris Taylor to give them their third run.
After a decent start from Hyun-Jin Ryu, Grant Dayton came in and blew the lead as he gave up a solo home run, tying the game at three a piece heading into the late innings.
Things looked to be falling apart for the Dodgers in the top of the 7th inning when a single turned into a run scoring error for the Minnesota Twins as Chris Taylor let a hopper bounce right over his shoulder and all the way to the wall.
Fast forward to the bottom of the 8th and there are two men on for Cody Bellinger. He absolutely smashed an 0-1 pitch that went right of the foul pole. The next pitch was off speed left out over the plate for Bellinger and then this happened:

The Dodgers were able to hold on after Kenley Jansen came in to close out the game and get redemption after his blown save on Sunday.
