WATCH: Kenta Maeda’s Interpreter Will Ireton Deadlifts 405 Pounds In Front of Entire Clubhouse

Kenta Maeda has been known to play quite a few pranks on his interpreter, Will Ireton. Ireton, usually at the receiving end of all the hilarity, had his chance to shine this morning in the Dodger clubhouse.

Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood released this video with very little context as to what exactly was happening. All we know is that Will Ireton, was pumped up.

After a quick trip to Alex Wood’s Instagram page, the story only got better.

So why was Kenta Maeda’s interpreter attempting do deadlift 405 pounds in front of the entire team?

David Vassegh of Dodger Talk and Eric Stephen of True Blue LA said he was challenged by players, one specifically being Kenley Jansen.

It looks like #WillTheThrill has a lot of strength hidden under his usual blue, Dodgers collared shirt.

  1. Will the Thrill is the best thing that has happened to our Dodger Team in a very long time. We the fans really love that guy.
Come on Dodger Brass, give permission for Will the Thrill to sign his autograph on our baseballs as he too is a member of our Dodger Team.
