Kiké Hernandez has had quite the bounce back season after he struggled all of 2016.

He has been performing well almost every time he is getting the chance. He has been a valuable pinch-hitter, utility infielder and outfielder as well as when he gets his spot starts while others rest.

Father’s Day has a special place in Hernandez’s heart, especially after the last two seasons.

In 2016, Kiké honored his father who was battling cancer at the time with a pinch-hit home run.

In 2017, Kiké made his father proud once again by going 2-for-2 with two walks and more importantly making the catch that saved both the game and the sweep of the Cincinnati Reds in the bottom of the 8th inning.
