WATCH: Yasiel Puig, Joc Pederson Collide Full Speed in the Outfield

In the top of the 10th inning of Tuesday night’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals, Joc Pederson and Yasiel Puig had one of the most terrifying outfield collisions in recent memory.

Both Yasiel Puig and Joc Pederson were running full speed on a fly ball that Yadier Molina hit into right-center field. Neither of them seemed to see or hear the other going for the ball and they crashed into each other.

The collision knocked Pederson to the ground so hard that his head smashed up against the outfield wall. Puig was able to hold onto the ball even though he took a shot to the ribs.

Pederson came out of the game immediately after the collision. Puig was able to see the rest of the game out as he took the lesser of the blow.

Andy McCullough of the LA Times tweeted out that Pederson will not go on the disabled list as of now.

Pederson was unable to move his neck well after the game and he has scratches and cuts on both his arm and forehead. The team will evaluate him today to see what the next step will be for Pederson to take.
