WATCH: Young Fan Catches NLDS Manny Machado Home Run Ball On Birthday
Honestly, there is nothing better than being at the ballpark as a kid. I remember it so well – it’s when I first fell in love with the game. Everything just seems a little big bigger, a little bit brighter, and a little more magical.
And so, when Manny Machado hit a home run in last night’s NLDS game two against Atlanta to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead early; one within the Dodgers fan base was overjoyed the most.
No matter how good you felt last night, we guarantee you were not feeling better than birthday boy Donovan who caught the Machado blast on his big day.

It gets better. A lot better.

And there’s more. The best part is that someone paid Donovan a surprise birthday visit after the conclusion of the Dodgers 3-0 win.

As one of my cohorts said (it was Kevin Perez-Allen of our Blue Heaven Podcast), things like this make me smile. I am not just supporting and rooting for one of the most prominent franchises in all of sports. Rather, I am behind a team filled with good people. This includes you, Manny Machado. You did well!
Happy birthday from Dodgers Nation, Donovan!
