What’s Next for the Dodgers in the 2020 Playoffs?

With a sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Wild Card series, the Dodgers punched their ticket to the Division Series. So, fans may be wondering what’s next for the Dodgers as they head into the MLB bubble for the 5-game NLDS.

Let us look into it, shall we?

When Will The Dodgers Play Next?

  • When: Tuesday, October 6
  • Who: Padres @ Dodgers
  • Location: Globe Life Field, Arlington, Texas
  • Where to watch: Fox Sports 1 (FS1)
    • Joe Davis will be on the play by play
    • AM570 will have radio coverage in LA
  • Start Time: TBA

Yes, importantly, FS1 will be covering the action for the NLDS and thankfully we know who will be behind the mic for that series.

The Dodgers and Padres went head-to-head 10 times during the regular season, with LA coming out on top 6 wins to 4. This will be the first time the two clubs have matched up in a postseason series. Moreover, this will be San Diego’s first appearance in the NLDS since 2006 after finishing in or near the cellar in the NL West every year since that season.

They lost that series against the Cardinals 3-1.

Los Angeles comes into the NLDS with the best record in baseball and coming off of a sweep of the Brewers. Additionally, the Dodger club should be entering the series at full strength while the Padres are missing their two top starting pitchers (Clevinger, Lamet) who are each working through arm issues but are hopeful to be ready.

Walker Buehler is expected to take the ball once again in game 1 with Clayton Kershaw following in game 2. Game 3 will feature one of Tony Gonsolin, Julio Urias, or Dustin May on the bump.

Tuesday cannot get here soon enough.
