Young Trio Drives Dodgers Offense
As of late, the Dodgers offense has been driven by the young offensive trio, Trayce Thompson, Corey Seager and Joc Pederson. The Dodgers had an 8-2 win against the Reds on Tuesday night at the Ravine and Wednesday marks the last day of their 20 games in 20 days stretch.
The Dodgers will try to sweep away the Reds tonight during Wednesday’s series finale. Let’s have a closer look at the offensive trio the Dodgers are so reliant of.
Starting 12 out of the 20 game stretch, Thompson’s stats for the month of May are as follows:
Seager, who has started 19 games out of the 20 so far in May:
And the last of the young trio, Pederson has stared in 16 of the 19 games in the 20 game streak:
May has been a good month for the trio, especially Thompson and Seager who have set new records for the Dodgers.
According to Stats, LLC, Trayce Thompson and Corey Seager are the first pair of Dodgers rookies to hit five or more HR each in same month.

The future looks very bright with an outfield of Pederson, Thompson and Puig with Kike in reserve and young Verdugo coming in probably 18….. They are very good defensively with great speed and puig has one of the best arms in baseball. Plus they all have great power potential. If Puig can eventually get his stroke back and keep his head in the game these guys will be great. I think Roberts is coaching the hell out of Puig with good results.
Seager is a great rookie and we have some young pitchers that will blow away Major League Baseball in a year or two.
I like that Barnes and Segedin are in the Minors and learning. The Future looks bright…
