The Dodgers were the first team to clinch a division, but their accomplishment has definitely been overshadowed by “Poolgate” as and if we really take a closer look at the Dodgers season it couldn’t have been more of a roller coaster type season. With the largest payroll of $234 million, they were heavily criticized before the season even started.
Giants first baseman Brandon Belt famously said that you couldn’t buy chemistry and the Dodgers definitely proved him wrong with the way they finished the season.
Along came Yasiel Puig, the flashiest and most exciting rookie MLB has seen in a very long time and lit a fire under every single Dodger Even though “Puig Mania” has died down, the rest of the Dodgers have stepped up. Lets not forget potential Cy Young Clayton Kershaw’s amazing season along with Zack Greinke and Ricky Nolasco.
With only a handful of games left in the season, the Dodgers still have home field advantage on the line as they look to find a balance between playing the regulars and reserves.
