After a slow start to the spring for Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig, he’s been starting to heat up in the past week.

The 24-year-old hit a pair of home runs in San Antonio and returned to Arizona to hit a couple more. On Wednesday against the San Diego Padres, Puig hit an absolute rocket shot to left for a two-run home run. In the second inning on Thursday against Brad Penny, Puig once again hit a two-run home run to left.

His home run put the Dodgers ahead 4-1 with Clayton Kershaw on the mound. It was Puig’s fifth home run of the spring.

Puig is cemented as the everyday right fielder and the Dodgers are counting on him to continue his development and maturation for another strong season in 2015.
