He shakes off the knee like a horse swatting a pesky fly =Vin Scully

  2. One of my favorites is a one-word quote from Joe Ferguson. It came during the infamous Steve Garvey-Don Sutton fight in August 1978. In a Washington Post article, Sutton was quoted as saying, “All you hear about on our team is Steve Garvey the All-American boy. But Reggie Smith was the real MVP. We all know it … (Smith) has carried us the last two years. He is not a facade. He does not have the Madison Avenue image.”

This ticked off Garvey, who confronted and then fought Sutton in the visitors’ locker room at Shea Stadium. During the brawl someone yelled, “Stop the fight, they’ll kill each other!” Ferguson’s response: “Good.”
