Bold prediction number 1

The Dodgers will call up right-handed pitching prospect Ryan Pepiot and he will immediately pay dividends for the beleaguered LA pitching staff. We talked about Pepiot last week with Dodgers2080’s Tim Rogers who he said should be starting in Los Angeles “tonight.” He’s been that good.

Keep in mind, Ryan was drafted only in 2019, but he’s a mature 23-year-old, 24 on August 21 and has been on a tear since starting his pro career. In 24 games (20 starts), Pepiot has a 1.83 ERA in 69 innings. His walk rate is a little high, but it’s come down in 2021 and he could only improve working with the big league coaching staff and catching core.
