  1. Mookie is a big player to be shutting down. But like Doug says; can he keep playing without a huge risk longterm? They should shut him down for a day or 2; do an MRI; and see what it shows. We do have the ability to cover him if necessary. If it is a minor cleanup or something more serious, the risk factor needs to be addressed.

  2. Betts should be shut down and go for hip surgery because as Doug says, it’s not going to get better anytime soon. And Dodgers with all these daily injuries won’t be healthy enough for any deep October run anyway. If only Seager would consent to fill in at 3rd, that would make things a lot easier, as T Turner can shift to his natural position at SS. Taylor can play 2nd, and on days against LHP, Pujols can play 1st, Muncy can play 2nd and CT3 can play an OF spot. But I don’t see Roberts doing this.

  3. Yeah!!!! we got a 11 more years and over 300 million dollars of this.

He will never hold up. And neither will a big long term contract. Will owners ever learn?

But hopefully we will get a 5 or 6 years. Is it too late to trade him?
