Dodgers: Joc Pederson Shares Power Bat with Max Muncy

LOS ANGELES, CA - MAY 10: Joc Pederson #31 of the Los Angeles Dodgers hits a solo home run, for his second of the game, in the fifth inning against the Washington Nationals at Dodger Stadium on May 10, 2019 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Jayne Kamin-Oncea/Getty Images)

Joc Pederson put on a display with the bat on Friday night at Dodger Stadium, however it came with a bit of a caveat. It wasn’t his bat.

The keen eye may have noticed it early, but Joc Pederson was using Max Muncy’s “MaxBat” when he cranked 2 home runs against the Nationals on Friday. Joc on the decision.

I picked up Max Muncy’s bat – he’s been swinging it well – it’s got a lot of pop, so I just went with his bat. I guess the rest took care of itself. I like that bat right now.

Continuing a recent theme of teammates helping each other with bats; as where Kiké Hernandez prepped Justin Turner’s bat on the night of JT’s 3 home run game, Joc picked up the Muncy special for 2 bombs.

That’s teamwork.
