Dodgers: Justin Turner Honors Kobe Bryant With His Cleats

Justin Turner’s shoe game over the last two games has been even hotter than his bat. The Dodgers’ third baseman previously wore cleats designed by a few kids at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. On Saturday night, he honored a Los Angeles legend.

Turner came out for the Dodgers game against the Angels wearing cleats with Kobe Bryant all over them. JT honored the Lakers legend with a pair of the hottest cleats you will ever see. It also happens to come on the same night that the Lakers advanced to the NBA Finals.

Whatever JT is doing with his cleats, it seems to be working out well. The Dodgers infielder went 1-for-3 on Saturday after going 2-for-3 on Friday night. That means with the cleats he’s been wearing, JT is hitting .500 with a couple of home runs.

Anytime you honor a legend like Kobe Bryant, the people of Los Angeles are always going to take notice. The Dodgers went on to beat the Angels 7-6 for their 41st win of the season. They kick off their playoffs this week against…who knows at this point.
