Dodgers: Max Muncy Featured in a Super Bowl Commercial for Bud Light

Max has his big-league moment.

Dodgers fans probably weren’t expecting to see their stadium or their players featured in a Super Bowl commercial heading into 2021. But thanks to Bud Light and Max Muncy, Los Angeles will get their commercial representation after all.

Bud Light revealed their commercial spot for Super Bowl LV this week. Featuring their new Bud Light seltzer Lemonade, Max Muncy makes an appearance for the Dodgers running the bases at the stadium in the 60-second commercial.

Muncy is running the bases as lemons fall from the sky as they hit the cardboard cutouts of Dodgers fans in the stands. Check it out and keep an eye out for it on February 7th as the Chiefs take on the Buccaneers in the Super Bowl!

Other Dodgers News

Former Dodgers GM Ned Colletti revealed that Andrew Friedman asked him for a ridiculous trade package for David Price with the Rays. The package reportedly consisted of Corey Seager, Joc Pederson, and Julio Urias before Price was traded to Detroit.

Speaking of Joc Pederson, Los Angeles might be losing him to a division rival. Pederson is reportedly talking with the Giants about a deal to become one of their full-time outfielders as Farhan Zaidi continues to rebuild.

The Dodgers very quietly signed LHP Mike Kickham to a minor league deal this month. The deal was not announced by the team but was confirmed via the transaction page.

  1. It used to be that current athletes couldn’t participate in advertisements for acholic beverages. The old Lite Beer commercials come to mind, with many “former” athletes like Bubba Smith, Billy Martin and Bob Uecker.

  2. I’m looking for Muncy to return to his Maximum Muncy form in 2021. He get it done in the postseason last year. This year, it will be all year long. This Bud’s for you Max!

  3. Staff writers should have noted this 60 second commercial is an “on-line” commercial only, not a TV commercial during Super Bowl 2021. Budweiser/Anheuser Busch will not be sponsoring TV commercial advertising for Super Bowl this year.

  4. Cubs To Sign Joc Pederson

The Cubs are in agreement on a deal with free-agent outfielder Joc Pederson, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic (via Twitter). The Excel Sports Management client’s contract is still pending the completion of a physical.
