Dodgers: Newest Lakers Star Russell Westbrook to Throw Out First Pitch Today

The Dodgers and Lakers have a long relationship that runs deep between the 2 organizations. The most obvious connection for the moment is co-owner Magic Johnson, but the history between the 2 LA franchises is long and rich.

So whenever there is something to celebrate for the Lakers, the Dodgers are right there alongside them. We’ve seen stars like Anthony Davis come through Chavez Ravine and develop relationships with current players, and we also got to witness Kobe Bryant going all out for his Dodgers.

Los Angeles landed Russell Westbrook in a massive trade earlier this month, and he will be out at the Ravine on Sunday to throw out the first pitch. A former Long Beach native, Rus attended UCLA and earned the 4th overall pick of the 2008 NBA draft.
