The negative headline that has plagued the Los Angeles Dodgers this season has continually been the appearance of various injuries amongst the team. Seemingly every time the team seems to be getting back into full form, a new injury emerges.
Juan Uribe returned to the Dodgers on Thursday, only to hear that his teammate Hanley Ramirez is dealing with shoulder irritation. Carl Crawford has recently begun working his way back from an injured ankle that has left him eager to return.
However, there’s another Dodger dealing with some issues. Don Mattingly gave Andre Ethier the night off Friday due to what he called “various bumps and bruises.” One of which is a foul ball that struck Ethier on the inside of his right knee.
Mattingly revealed Ethier was dealing with knee trouble in Kansas City, which played into his night off Friday. Ethier however was forced into action when Scott Van Slyke was ejected over arguing balls and strikes.
