However, all was well by Thursday. Clayton Kershaw tossed a complete-game shutout Wednesday and Zack Greinke followed with eight scoreless innings in the series finale. Additionally, Yasiel Puig got extra work with Dodgers hitting coach Mark McGwire and reaped immediate benefits.
Puig hit a two-run double and added a two-run home run in the eighth inning on Thursday, pushing the Dodgers’ lead to 6-0.
