Dodgers: Yes, The Wind is Present and Ready to Play a Role in Game 3 at Dodger Stadium

It’s windy at Dodger Stadium tonight. I’m sure you’ve heard by now. As the Dodgers and Giants got set for game 3 of the National League Division Series, the focus was on the high wind advisory in the ballpark.

Normally we’re used to #shadows being the conversation point in national broadcasts hosted at Dodger Stadium but tonight it will certainly be the wind.

So yes, it’s windy.

There were 14 mile-per-hour winds at first pitch with gusts up to 40 miles-per-hour, whipping the foul poles (fair poles) around down the lines and trash onto the field from the stands.

Fans early in the night shared their thoughts and predictions on what the wind could do to sway the outcome of the game…

…but it was mostly tongue in cheek.

The Dodgers are treating game 3 as a must-win, according to Dave Roberts. If that’s the case — as every game should be — they have the right guy on the mound in Max Scherzer who worked through a scoreless first inning so far.
