After a four-hour game on Monday, the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Philadelphia Phillies in the second of a four-game series on Tuesday. Emotions are high as former Dodger Chad Billingsley makes his return to Dodger Stadium after being drafted and spending his entire 12-year professional career in the Dodgers organization.

Billingsley spent eight seasons with the big league team, starting at least 31 games for four consecutive seasons from 2008-2011, winning as many as 16 games in 2008 and being named to the National League All-Star team in 2009. He required Tommy John surgery in April 2013, and then needed flexor tendon surgery in June 2014, The Dodgers bought out the 2015 option in his contract last October marking the end of his career with Los Angeles, the only organization he had ever been a part of.

The 30-year-old, who is now a member of the Phillies, has a 7.71 ERA while giving up 33 hits in 21 innings in five starts with the Phillies this season.

The Phillies have a tough task ahead of them as they are facing a red-hot Brett Anderson, who is making his 17th start of the season for the Dodgers. The lefty is 5-4 with a 3.00 ERA in 96 innings this season, going 3-0 with a 1.35 ERA in his last three starts. Anderson’s 202 ground ball outs ranks first in the National League.

Howie Kendrick is swinging a hot bat for the Dodgers, batting .452 (19-for-42) in his last 10 games. He is 4-for-11 against Billingsley in his career. Jimmy Rollins has also hit Billingsley well, going 9-for-26 (.346) including the playoffs.
