Recap: Dodgers Drop 3 Straight in 4-3 Loss to Pirates

Dodgers

The Dodgers came into this game having lost the first two of the series, but it’s #KershawDay! Unfortunately, the Giants had won so we needed a win in order to stay 7 games back. Let’s take a look at the highlights!

The Pirates got off to an early start when thanks to an RBI single and a bases-clearing, 3-run double.

Luckily, a Double by the kid, Cory Seager, and a home run by Turner in the top of the 3rd would keep us in the game!

The Pirates would stay quiet, but the red hot Justin Turner would come to the rescue again with an RBI double!

Unfortunately, the ninth would consist of Joc hitting a fly ball, Puig grounding out, and Yaz striking out looking.

With this loss, the Dodgers are now 8 games behind of the first place Giants. Tomorrows game is bright and early at 9:35AM with Kazmir on the mound. Tune into twitter @DodgersNation in order to get the play by play!

  1. cant remember the last time the dodgers have won on a sunday when playing on espn. also last batters in the ninth need to go

  2. Put together a nice package of Puig and a few prospects and go get another true solid arm for the starting rotation. His trade value is up due to his new attitude. He’s got huge upside and a team friendly contract. I wish he’d hit but I’m over the experiment. I’m sure there are a few teams out there that would take that deal.
