Not only are the Los Angeles Dodgers in a drought having been swept by the San Francisco Giants without scoring a run, but the city of Los Angeles is also in a drought of its’ own.

While the Dodgers can fix the problem with some timely hitting in their next game, the issue in the city is much bigger. There was some rain last week when the Dodgers took on the Colorado Rockies, and one game was even delayed for over an hour. Brett Anderson happened to be on the mound just five days after being on the mound in a rain-shortened game in Colorado. On Wednesday night in San Francisco, there was precipitation once again and Anderson was once again on the mound.

The Dodgers lost the game, but Brett Anderson took to Twitter after the game offering a solution for any city looking for some moisture:

Anderson is one of the more entertaining players in the big leagues on the social media site, and is right up there with Brandon McCarthy in terms of Dodgers. He’s also quick-witted in interviews, highlighted by him saying he closed his eyes and blacked out on an RBI double in his last start.

As for on-field results, Anderson is starting to become what the Dodgers envisioned when they signed him to a one-year, $10 million deal this offseason. The left-hander has allowed just five runs total in his last four starts, and his ERA on the season sits at 3.61 after being as high as 5.49.

While Los Angeles needs rains, Anderson isn’t looking for any more in his next start at Dodger Stadium.
